London Theatre Wishlist | AD

The London theatre scene is absolutely thriving at the moment with an abundance of shows of all genres. My wishlist is building up and I'll no doubt be putting tickets for a couple of shows on my Christmas list. It can be such a faff to search for tickets to each show individually which is why I prefer to visit a box office website such as theatretickets.uk where you can find tickets for all the big West End productions and compare seats and prices all in one place. Today I'm going to share with you the shows that I'm dying to see and that I'll be snapping up tickets for very soon.

Sunny Afternoon | Harold Pinter Theatre

I was lucky enough to be invited along to see Sunny Afternoon, the story of The Kinks, in London by the lovely people over at Box Office UK. It's a show I knew very little about (apart from the fact it won quite a few awards including the Olivier for Best Musical) so I was really interested to see what I thought. Overall I really enjoyed the show and would definitely recommend seeing it if you're a big fan of The Kinks or even if you only know their biggest hits- it was very loud, lively and got me up dancing too! If you want to read my full thoughts about the show head over to boxoffice.co.uk where you can also buy tickets for the show!

Shrek The Musical | Wolverhampton Grand Theatre

Yesterday I was lucky enough to be invited to the press night of the Shrek the Musical UK Tour during its visit to Wolverhampton. Despite currently living in Cardiff for university, I decided to take a trip back to my home theatre to finally see the show for myself having heard so much about it for so long. I packed myself a bag and hopped onto a train hoping the trip would be worthwhile.
Shrek was one of my favourite films as a child and funnily enough I re-watched the film just a few weeks ago: it was just as hilarious as I remembered, which made me very excited to see the show transformed for the stage.

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical | Aldwych Theatre

I have been so lucky this summer with the volume of fantastic shows I have seen and on Monday I saw another. Boxoffice.co.uk invited me down to London to see Beautiful, a show I've been wanting to see ever since it opened early this year. In short, I really enjoyed the show as it had lively music, a beautiful set and costumes and a captivating story about Carole King that I didn't know prior to seeing the show. If you want to know more about why I loved it so much be sure to check out my full review here.

If you're after some theatre tickets then I'd really recommend checking out Box Office, particularly if you don't know what you want to see. I was actually browsing the website a couple of weeks ago to scout out a last minute ticket for something. They have tickets for almost every West End show, as well as plays up and down the country and I could spend ages browsing everything that's on offer so do check them out next time you're after some tickets!
