Cardiff Fringe Festival 2018!

Great news Cardiff gang! The Cardiff Fringe Festival is returning for it's third year from the 31st May until the 16th June and if you're a fan of discovering new works of performance art at affordable prices then you are going to love it.

The festival features a range of different styles of performances, including theatre, drag, poetry, as well as a few seminars and workshops where you can learn more about television production, stand-up comedy or even clowning! Some of the venues I have visited before (Chapter Arts Centre, The Other Room) and others are new to me, even after living in Cardiff for almost three years now. While theatre festivals are great, but they can often be costly when you add up everything you want to see. Luckily, this shouldn't be a problem here - the Cardiff Fringe Festival has a cap on ticket prices meaning that nothing will cost you more than £10 to see! As a recent graduate with not a lot of money to spare, this is great news and it also means that the festival is going to be super accessible and open to all.

Tickets are now on sale on the Cardiff Fringe Festival website and if you're interested in getting a taste of what's in store before the festival begins, there is an open publicity event on the afternoon of the 26th of May outside Mary's featuring music, dancing and many of the companies who will be taking part. It sounds like we've got an exciting few weeks coming up in the city arts-wise and I can't wait to get involved - I hope you will too!
